4hope UX/UI strategic enhancements for user engagement and usability for a gaming website focused on card trading
OVERVIEW
As a UX/UI designer I worked on UX/UI improvements for a gaming platform, my process involved several key stages to ensure the platform was user-friendly, engaging, and met the needs of its users. I began with a small user research to understand their pain points, preferences, and behaviors. Competitor analysis was also conducted to benchmark industry standards and identify opportunities for differentiation.
Following this, I created a detailed site map and user flow diagrams to visualize the overall structure and ensure all necessary features were logically organized. I then designed low-fidelity wireframes to outline the basic structure of the platform and developed interactive prototypes and high-fidelity ones for handoff and testing.
Why
The users provided constant feedback through the platform, giving us a clear idea of the pain points and new functionalities needed to enhance their experience.
How
By conducting user research, benchmarking, and product analysis, we prioritized essential areas for improvement and created a roadmap aligned with both user needs and our business objectives. We identified key pain points in the user experience, opportunities for innovation, and potential optimizations to enhance our product's value proposition and accessibility.
Problem
Accessibility was not being considered, and gamification lacked proper techniques for this user group. On the other hand, the brand needed to be cleaned up and enhanced to maintain consistency across all pages.
Proposal
Develop a Design Kit to streamline components for consistency throughout the platform, boost contrast, and improve overall accessibility. Integrate gamification techniques to motivate users to continue engaging and interacting with others.
